Job Title: Plant ControllerDepartment: FinanceReports to: VP of FinanceLocation: Hubbard, TX (hybrid potential, depending on location) The Plant Controller is a business partner with the plant management. They are responsible for the financial activities at the plant and are accountable for the plant-level responsibilities.Essential Functions Include: Responsible for the financial activities at the plant and accountable for the plant-level responsibilities, including supporting additional plant(s). Will support both plant and corporate functions.Supervise and motivate staff, overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivableThe focus will be on plant level reporting and activities, while supporting the VP of Finance with key higher level corporate needs. Manage the plants month-end close procedures, ensuring their completion timely and accurately.Perform general account analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid expenses.1099 filing, various government agencies filing, sales tax, property tax, exercise tax, and others.Assist in preparation of annual budget and periodic financial forecasting.Support the VP of Finance in coordinating with external accountants to complete annual financial statement audit and tax return preparation.Partner with VP of Finance, Controller, CFO, and business partners to ensure timely and accurate financial data is provided to support key business decisions.Drive process improvements.Other tasks assigned as needed. Qualifications Include:B.S. in Business, Accounting or Finance5+ years of related experience 2+ years of supervisory experience preferredStrong Excel skills and data analysis abilitiesExcellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT - Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations: Consistent and reliable attendanceProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
