Each day, temperature screens are performed for each employee and visitor before entering the facility. Face coverings are available to all team members and enhanced cleaning and sanitation is regularly performed. SUMMARYTo plan, organize, coordinate and implement the preventative maintenance management program within Environmental Utilities; to provide expertise in proactive maintenance operations and activities; to test, implement and maintain asset management databases and systems and to perform a variety of professional and technical level tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as production demands may require.*Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives; establish schedules and methods for proactive maintenance operations and activities, implement policies and procedures.*Develop and implement a proactive maintenance program by compiling and evaluating maintenance operations data related to Environmental Utilities water and wastewater process operations and equipment; determine operating efficiency and effectiveness, including compliance with various regulatory requirements, and make recommendations regarding continued maintenance versus replacement.*Evaluate operations and activities of assigned responsibilities, including identifying maintenance trends and recommending improvements and modifications to equipment, maintenance activities and operations, and materials/stores procurement and inventory management.*Participate in budget preparation and administration; prepare cost estimates for budget recommendations; submit justifications for preventive maintenance operations and activities; monitor and control expenditures.*Participate in the preparation of plans and specifications for parts/materials and services related to repair and modification of infrastructure; participate in the selection of contractors/vendors; and participate in the review of submittals for compliance with various federal, state, and local regulations and requirements.*Perform technical duties in the analysis, design, programming, testing, installation and maintenance of asset management systems.*Assists the Supervisor of Maintenance in areas assigned to that department.a. Furnishes information for budget preparation.b. Arranges for contracted services as required.c. Advises on work requirements and priorities.d. Alerts the Supervisor on imminent systems failure and projected system requirements.e. Participates in the preparation of the Comprehensive Maintenance PlanQUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to physically perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Computer experience is required.LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:NoneTRAINING REQUIREMENTS/METHODS:All employees are required to attend employee and safety orientation prior to performing the above duties. Once the employee completes this training they will be assigned to a Supervisor who will further orient the employee to the workplace, introduce him/her to employees and other supervision, demonstrate work assignment and explain ingress and egress procedures to and from work station. A training buddy may be assigned to new employees for a period to assist in further training and indoctrination.TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES:Those responsible for training and indoctrination may include: personnel representatives, safety director, supervisors, and lead workers.METHOD OF TRACKING EMPLOYEE PROGRESS:The supervisor is accountable for tracking employee progress and performance.EXIT TRAINING FOR MEASURING TRAINING EFFECTIVENESS:A specific probationary period is assigned to all employees hired to evaluate employee effectiveness and performance. At the end of this period the supervisor will evaluate the job performance of each new employee utilizing current forms and procedures in effect at that time. The employee will be rated and evaluated on essential work duties listed above as well as attendance, tardiness, interaction with co-workers and management, attitudes and work actions. Unacceptable performance of duties and disciplinary actions will be documented on corrective action reports and appropriate personnel records. Absent any negative actions, the employee may be eligible for a wage increase according to the wage and salary policies in effect at that time.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
