Network EngineerSalary - $70k-$90KLocation - Bryan TexasMy client has an exciting opportunity for a Network engineer to join their Technology department and manage enterprise network integration, configuration, and implementation of computer networks, local area networks, wide area networks, internet, intranet, cloud, convergence, and other data communication systems.This role offers unrivalled career progression with the chance to join a growing team and really make a mark on your own work, with progression in to higher networking roles with the opportunity to report in to a team of technically excellent network architects!As a Network engineer you will have the following responsibilities:- Implements network activities with assistance from vendor and other staff.- Assist/troubleshoot/secure the private 5G network.- Implement tests used to certify network to required installation design standards.- Analyzes, troubleshoots, tracks, and repairs data communications networks.- Works with clients to identify networking supporting clients' goals.- Consults with clients to review project plans and schedules, secure approval of test results, and discuss problems or concerns.- Reviews the accuracy of documentation of network engineering designs, plans, maps, methods, and procedures.- Documents problems and repairs.- Monitors and maintains network security with direction from IT Security.- Implements the evaluation of new technologies to determine their applicability with regards to clients' needs.- Assists project leader with developing work plans and time schedules for projects including outlining phases, identifying personnel, and computing equipment requirements.- Documents configuration changes and follows approved Change Management procedures in standard Change Management platform.The Ideal Network Engineer should have the following Education and Experience:- Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.- Three years of related experience in network support, switching, Layer 2 and 3 network protocols, video and data convergence, integrating systems in multi-user environments.The Ideal Network engineer should have the following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment.- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with a diverse range of people.- Must have strong interpersonal skills.- Ability to move medium to heavy items from one location to another.- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.Preferred Qualifications:- Knowledge of switching protocols, domain name system (DNS), dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP), proxy functions, security protocols, time protocols, tag and label switching.- Knowledge of network system analysis and design techniques for video and data.- Skills in strategic thinking, research, and planning to include: creativity/innovation, strategic change management, risk management, strategic disaster recovery & business continuity, ROl analysis, integrating solutions, leveraging strategic resources, strategic partnering, conflict management, advanced change management.- Any advanced network operation or security certification. (ex: CCNA, CCNP)- Experience with Network Access Control.- Experience with Enterprise wireless solution.- Experience with fiber cabling and patch management.- Experience with DC powered networking equipment.- Experience with server room power and cooling.- Experience with network monitoring and alerting.If you are interested in the network engineer role please submit you resume and I will call you back to discuss the role further.Network engineer
