Valley Veterinary Care is looking for 2 Veterinary Technicians to join the Waco Animal Emergency Team!Overnight, day shift and midshift opportunities- Different pay rates based off of veterinary experience.- Full benefits (health, dental, vision, retirement) available after 30 days of employment.- Family oriented company with a fun environment!- Stepping stone for success and mentor program.The veterinary technician is responsible for client and patient care and for assisting the veterinarian.Animal hospital where employees work in the front and back of hospital with a high level of client interaction.Exposure to x-rays and anesthetic gases with proper protective measures.Possible potential for exposure to zoonotic diseases and possible hazardous materials.ResponsibilitiesVeterinary Technicians assist the veterinarian in surgical procedures using proper aseptic techniques and monitor vitals (temperature, respiratory and heart rate).Perform routine laboratory procedures and analysis in hematology, microbiology, uranalysis and serology.Perform intravenous catheterization and blood draws.Initiate triage and emergency procedures.Take and develop radiographs.All other assigned tasks appropriate for technicians.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentGreat if you are a Licensed or Registered Veterinary Technician.Must be able to lift 50 pounds, work on feet all day and handle multiple unrelated tasks in a busy work environment.Must be customer service oriented and friendly.Must be able to work all shifts including nights and weekends if required.Job Type: Full-timePay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceScrub allowanceSchedule:HolidaysNight shiftMid shiftDay shiftWeekend availability PI30591180-25660-7d7c20430d25
