This role spends most of the time on the manufacturing floor ensuring everything is performing optimally. When serving in this position, an individual could have diverse tasks and responsibilities based in all these functional roles given the daily operational needs. Individual must have some applicable skills and be willing to learn skills necessary to support all the areas as better explained below.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Providing support in operations as a Machine Operator/Maintainers which can include duties such as:
  • Attend to machines so they operate correctly and produce the desired results; investigates issues with equipment and make any necessary adjustments; set up cleaning to prevent problems by keeping machines in good working order; maintain all facility systems to ensure their proper operating condition; monitor equipment for any unusual noise, movements or incorrect outputs
  • Setup production equipment and supplies before executing the job orders; test and measure finished products
  • Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing
  • Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions and needed repairs
  • Load supplies into machines either by hand or using hoists, replace molds and cutting surfaces, and act as a link in a chain that involves several manufacturing processes Review quality of the product to ensure the output of the machinery is up to customer standards; if any defects, determine the error occurring and correct it to ensure timely production volume
  • Stop to make minor repairs of machinery when product or machines or not to standard; refer major problems to the Production Technicians in a timely fashion to expedite repairs and return the line to production schedules
  • Provide sufficient quantity output from the machinery to ensure delivery schedules are sustained
  • Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment in order to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter
  • Providing support in operations as a Chemical Process Operator which can include duties such as:
  • Setup, monitor and operate chemical treatment machines
  • Operate and maintain the waste water treatment plant
  • Handle, dispose, ship and properly store hazardous waste materials
  • Take chemical samples and perform tests to ensure the process is progressing properly
  • Examine chemical processing machinery daily to identify damages or erosion, making note of any instances and reporting them to management staff when it is safe to do so
  • Monitor and control pressure and temperature of chemical process equipment; handle, transport and process chemicals safely
  • Providing support in operations as an Inventory Clerk/Material Handler/Shipping & Receiving Operator which can include duties such as:
  • Transport raw materials from warehouse to processing facility; Managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment
  • Loading, unloading, shipping and receiving warehouse items; secure loads to machine before transportation; stay aware of any possible hazards while operating forklift machinery; retrieves supplies and materials by studying specifications; locating and verifying supplies and materials; secures pallets on truck; moves pallet to production location
  • Keep track of the location of goods, report any damaged or lost goods, be alert and report any obvious defects of incoming or outgoing material or products; move good from one location to another; Picking and wrapping orders for shipment
  • Responsible for pulling job for production, inbound forms, inventory tags and counts on materials received or shipped
  • Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device
  • Plans supply and material requirements by studying production schedule; scheduling deliveries to production area
  • Maintains inventory in production area by anticipating and tracking usage. Monitors inventory by reporting discrepancies
  • Ensure the proper and systematic handing of all warehouse inventory
  • Operate machinery to place large items in inventory; regulating access to the inventory resources
  • All Production Operators provide support in operations include duties such as:
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly
  • Accurately input data into computer systems to record production quantities through work order completions
  • Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations
  • Obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits or certifications as required
  • Handle time accounting and complete work order
  • Respond to warning signals and alarms that indicate issues have arisen, taking all necessary precautions to prevent accidents or injuries
  • Regulate or turn off machines in emergency situations and follow all instructions from supervisory staff quickly and precisely
  • Document plant processes and record production data
  • Follow all necessary regulations and appropriate Company procedures including quality policies, safety policies, OSHA, EPA, ASME, NEC, etc. standards
  • Responsible for assisting others with operator duties, including training junior co-workers on the safe and efficient use of production machinery and equipment
  • Identify and report unsafe operations to Supervisor immediately
  • Safely operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in handling supplies and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area POSITION REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
    • Required - High School Diploma or GED equivalent
    • Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Maintenance, Electro-Mechanical Technology or similar or two-year technical degree or equivalent, a plus
    • Prefer experience maintaining motor controls, installations, maintenance, and repairs
    • Prefer experience operating manufacturing equipment or machinery
    • Prefer experience operating forklifts, pickers or general warehouse duties
    • Prefer experience in inventory management along with shipping and receiving experience GENERAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
      • Aptitude in spatial reasoning, attention to detail, and skilled craftsmanship
      • Mechanical aptitude and experience (work with machines and general tooling)
      • Skilled in hand and power tool usage
      • Operate compressors, sandblasters, spray equipment, and other small power equipment
      • Knowledge of SAP and inventory management a plus
      • Ability to operator heavy machinery
      • Forklift driver: Must receive training and be certified before operating a forklift; re-certification is required every 3 years
      • Ability to follow proper safety procedures
      • Use of precision measuring instruments
      • Ability to obtain certification and operate chemical equipment
      • Handle simple and complex heavy industrial equipment like forklifts, scissor lifts, basket trucks, etc.
      • Working knowledge of all automation standard practices
      • Proactive and takes ownership to resolve problems and issues
      • Ability to work with employees from many different cultures and backgrounds
      • Preference will be given to qualified local candidates SOFTWARE/COMPUTER SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
