Job Description Shift details:Mon-Fri Half days between 8-4:30 pmWeekends and Holidays offPerforming EMG studies for inpatients and outpatientsEMG experience PreferredMinimum QualificationsEducation: Associates degree, preferred Licenses/Certifications: Basic Life Support certificationExperience / Knowledge / Skills:

• Minimum of two (2) years directly related experience or an Associate's degree in Neurodiagnostic Technologies; in lieu of two (2) years' experience.Principal Accountabilities
  • Receives and records physician's orders for patient testing: schedules patients, obtains patient medical history and completes appropriate documentation.
  • Prepares patients for procedures explains procedure, measures for accurate electrode sites, applies electrodes and adjusts as appropriate.
  • Performs electroencephalograph (EEG) exams, may perform other neurodiagnostic exams as directed.
  • Maintains equipment and makes minor adjustments as indicated.
  • Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity, and quality of service.
  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
