$20,000TS/SCI/SAP: $20,000 - $40,000Job Description: Help lead a
team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, and
integration of complex systems installed on airborne
platforms.Essential Functions:
- Lead team to develop quick-turn, temporary modifications
through the bid, design, integration, test, certification, and
retirement phases
- Coordinate and lead other functional groups (engineering and
non-engineering) through all phases of the program life cycle
- Create Basis of Estimates for new efforts and present those to
the customer evaluation team
- Work with Airworthiness Personnel to determine the needed
artifacts and flow artifact requriements to the appropriate SMEs to
achieve final modifiation certification
- Lead Risk Management activities by helping identify risks,
evaluating severity and likelihood, and creating appropriate
mitigation strategies as needed
- Coordinate modification and test efforts with the intgration
laboratory personnel
- Coordination with the customer to define potential temporary
modifications and execution of the temporarty modification through
the entire modification lifecycle
- Establish and maintain project budgets and schedules
- Prepare and deliver effective presentations to communicate
technical information to both technical and non-technical
professionals
- Experience managing sub-contractors and working with them to
ensure that delivered products meet specification requirements
- Design and develop physical architectures incorporating vendor
equipment into airborne systems for military and commercial
customers
- Translate the customer requirements into unique verifyible
system level requirements
- Define requirement traceability methods
- Lead the systems engineering trade study process
- Evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness
- Write subsystem specifications based on system level
requirements
- Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system
design
- Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design
details trace to system requirements
- Write effective verification test procedures ensuring system
performance and capabilities meet system requirements
- Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical
information to both technical and non-technical professionals
- Ability to use standard Microsoft Office suite of
applications
- Ability to operate within a Product Lifecycle Manager (PLM);
TeamCenter preferredQualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline
(Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Software, Physics, etc.) and a
minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate
Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance at
the TS/SCI level (requires U.S. citizenshipPreferred Additional
Skills:
- Prior experience with Model Based Systems Engineering
(MBSE).
- Prior experience with integrating equipment in one or more of
the following areas:Prior experience with multiple analog and
digital interface standards including MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC-429.
- CNS/ATM
- SI/EW
- COMMs Mission Equipment
- Experience working with subcontractors and US Government
customers.
- Experience working successfully both independently and in a
team environment with the ability to lead teams through a system
development and integration cycle.
