Parkview Regional HospitalASSIST WITH PATIENT CARE TO PROVIDE SUPPORT SERVICES TO THE PATIENT'S, FAMILIES, AND OTHER EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT STAFF. -PERFORMS TASK SUCH AS: a -TAKES AND RECORDS VITAL SIGNS b.APPLIES CARDIAC MONITOR AND SPO2. c -OBTAIN 12 LEAD EKG d.ASSIST WITH WOUND CARE AND SUTURE SET UP e.SUTURE REMOVAL f.ADMINISTERS O2 g -ORTHO GLASS APPLICATION h.CRUTCH FITTING AND EDUCATION i.ASSIST WITH DECEASED PATIENTSASSIST WITH PREPARATION OF PATIENT FOR ADMISSION-TRANSPORT a -prepares patient with appropriate monitoring devices for transport. b.assist with handling and recording of patient valuablesTRANSPORTING PATIENTS TO PROPER DEPARTMENT - transports patients in a safe manorDOCUMENTATION - a.documents vital signs, skills performed, and assistance with procedures on patient record. b.communicates results of selected test to other professional staff in a timely manor.ASSIST IN CARDIAC SITUATIONS, UTILIZES SAFETY MEASURES AND IN PREPERATION OF DECEASED PATIENTS a.initiates CPR when appropriate.b.utilizes side-rails and restraints to prevent patient injury .c.assists professional staff in preparation of supplies and equipment used during emergency situations.d -report to professional staff, patients at increased risk of injury.MAINTAINS CLEAN WORK ENVIROMENT, ADEQUATE EQUIPMENT.equipment and related supplies are kept clean, in good working condition and are at desired par levels.Job Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent X RequiredRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
