Every team member contributes to our mission of providingexceptional, clinically distinct care in the home to thousands of patients andfamilies every day.In hospice, you will bea true advocate for patients at the end of life while maintaining autonomy andindependence to support their needs.If youare looking for a home with a Nationwide Company where you can put your skillsand experience to work, make a difference every day and purse your goals forthe future join our team.What You Will Do:As a Business Office Manager you will report directly to the operational leader and serve as a key member of care center operations and management team by planning, directing and coordinating the billing, purchasing, human resources, communication systems, space utilization, administrative support and mail services. Coordinate systems and procedures with medical records, data entry, claims review, and personnel and human resource functions to ensure efficient and compliant billing and payroll operations. Ensure continuous coverage in all administrative areas through appropriate staffing assignments and workload distribution and supervises non clinical staff. Ensure appropriate orientation for all new staff. Screen, interview and make appropriate hiring decisions for non-clinical and administrative staff. Conduct performance appraisals/reviews as necessary and in compliance with company policy and procedures. Accountable for ensuring compliance with all new and current employee documentation required by Human Resources and regulatory agencies for maintaining employment within the organization including, but not limited to, I9 compliance, professional licensure, background checks and all other documents related to employment. Maintain an ongoing evaluation of space, supplies and equipment needs for the care center. Directly communicate with the IT Department regarding system problems, repairs, and troubleshooting as needed.Required: High school diploma Minimum of two (2) years office or related experience Strong computer and software skills. Dependable transportation, valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage. Preferred: Bachelor Degree in business or related field Minimum of two (2) years office or related experience in the healthcare environment Supervisory/management experience in a healthcare setting Medical billing and financial management experienceAmedisys isan equal opportunity employer.
