What We Are Looking For
The Web Programmer Analyst supports the mission of the university
by developing or identifying, testing, implementing, and
maintaining web application programs. This position reports to the
Director of Internet Systems and Services. The scope of this
position applies to systems and services for Baylor's public-facing
websites. Key systems will include Drupal, .NET Framework
applications, .NET Core applications, and the university's
homegrown CMS.
A Bachelors degree, two years of relevant work experience, and a
Christian faith are required. A combination of education and
experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United
States on a full-time basis.
Additional required skills include:
php or C#
T-SQL
Web services, including JSON and XML
Preferred skills include:
Drupal
.NET Core
.NET Framework
Orchard Core CMS / Framework
Database design and implementation
What You Will Do
Performs web programming and related tasks, under supervision as
needed, in support of the use of technology on campus.
Assists with web software development or identification,
installation, and maintenance as needed.
Works with campus partners and other technology staff to complete
web programming requests (including appropriate database
development). Meets with partners, reviews requirements and works
with partners on testing of programs and processes.
Analyzes technology needs and suggests and implements solutions to
those needs.
Studies manuals, texts, and tutorials as necessary to obtain the
required expertise on programming methods and software tools.
