As - part of this role, you will lead feature teams that will work on designing cloud native solutions using technologies such as: Python, Go, Serverless, microservices, APIs, NoSQL and relational databases, and Cloud Infrastructure to name a few. This team will need to be comfortable with rapid prototyping of solutions and working with a cross functional team to design the target state implementation of our cloud environment for these projects. -This position is in the Cloud Platform Services team within Enterprise Platforms Technology and will be leading teams to build the platform that will provision Cloud workload environments to enable multiple strategic initiatives across Capital One. -You will:

• Lead multiple delivery teams and coach them through their career development and performance
• Develop the technical strategy, roadmap and vision for the platforms you own
• Work with product managers to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios - Continuously improve software engineering practices
• Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack development tools and technologies
• Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions
• Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
• Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
• Lead efforts to deploy new and existing applications into AWS environmentsBasic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 7 years experience in software engineering or software development
  • At least 5 years experience in people managementPreferred Qualifications:
    • Master's Degree
    • 10+ years of experience in software engineering or software development
    • 5+ years of experience in Agile practices
    • 5+ years of experience with Cloud infrastructure services (Network, IAM, Compute, Data)
    • 5+ years of experience developing automated solutions to deploy cloud environments
    • 5+ years of experience working with Google or Azure Cloud Services

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $269,400 - $307,500 for Director, Software EngineeringCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
