Responsible for planning, developing and providing training programs and quality assurance covering skill based training of all machinery and operations within our Aluminum Manufacturing facility. The Operations Trainer will use effective training methods such as classroom training, e-learning selected training, on-the-job training, one on one training, etc. This position will be actively involved in identifying workshops, webinars and web-based self-learning resources. This position will assist the Training Manager in identifying applicable training programs per position requirements. Partnering with our Subject Matter Experts to ensure training content is current, accurate and effective will be critical in the success of this position. Regular assessment of training methods to ensure quality, process compliance and employee success will be essential.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsible for instructing trainee to be successful as a line attendant Creates and designs training plans by position to include new hire, refresher and annual training by line operation and line need; creates training materials in support of training plans Provides technical training on all aluminum manufacturing machines and systems Identifies deficiencies in quality, reports these issues to relevant stakeholders, and supports the development of solutions to improve these deficiencies Maintains training documents and continuously updates training based on procedural changes and requirements Maintains training records for quality and compliance requirements Help shape the current strategy of the new and existing training programs Collect information related to work procedures, workflow, and reports Design technical training programs according to the needs of an organization Track the progress of employees, evaluate the performance of employees and give your feedback Performs post-training/post audit review of all training topics covered at least quarterly, identifies areas for improvement and updates training programs accordingly Design effective training material Conduct technical training sessions on a regular basis Maintain and update training data on a regular basis Educate the team about the maintenance of the operation of equipment by following the manufacturer's instructions Stay up to date on the latest technical knowledge through publications and workshops Continually research methods and techniques in workplace training and remain up-to-date on developments within the industry and competitors Administer tests after the completion of training courses to determine the effectiveness of training strategies Conduct individual and team skills gap analysis Develop technical training courses for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced) Liaise with industry experts and organize workshops and classroom-style trainings Schedule in-house educational sessions using e-learning platforms Assist with developing and updating the training program which will consist of system learning solutions, classroom learning solutions, on the job mentorship curriculum and self-directed learning solutions Develop training material including outlines, handouts, and other exercises Coordinate with industry experts for conducting classroom-style training and workshops Ensure that trainee knows all safety policies and procedures Must be willing to assist and learn job functions of a team leader, and ability to fill in on any line Document quality checks on time verifying correct count and label. Must be willing and able to guide, teach, and direct co-workers that are assigned to assist you on any given machine Know packing materials and procedures Learn how to thread up all lines; assists in taking line down and putting back upResponsibilities of all Envases Employees: Commit to ensuring the health/wellness of our employees and product Ensure the jobs/operations are completely safely to protect employees and to ensure the sustainability of company equipment/machinery Ensure the security of the workforce and sustain any client confidentiality requests Deliver timely and efficiently without hindering quality of services and work to ensure the team's success in meeting our client delivery schedules Team centered to perform your job successfully while identifying ways to help others be successful too; willingness to learn; works at a fast pace, actively pursues tasks or direction; willing to work extended hours and adapt to changing work schedules as well as assignments; determines what work needs to be done without instruction; takes action to complete additional work that is beneficial to the team without being instructed POSITION REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Required - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Required - minimum of 6 years of a combination of education, training and experience serving as a Technical Trainer; experience as a Technical Trainer, Training Specialist or in a position with a significant portion of duties related to training employees (preference given to experience training employees in a manufacturing or operations industry) 2 years' experience working in a manufacturing industry with knowledge and understanding of business policy and training processes in machine operations, preferred A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Human Resource, Engineering, Business Administration or Adult Education or other related field, a plus Advanced experience with instructional methods, team coaching and skill development Professional Certification in training (e.g. Certified Technical Trainer), preferred GENERAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Proven work experience as a Technical Trainer or similar role Solid understanding of Six Sigma / LEAN process review, preferred Experience in developing technical course content both for novices and experts with technology and/or machinery Knowledge of web-based learning platforms and modern educational techniques Strong knowledge of development and learning practices Outstanding presentation skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical terms using simple language Instructional experience in a group business setting Ability to effectively organize and facilitate multiple training initiatives simultaneously Strong organizational skills and proven ability to maintain accurate, detailed records that will be audited periodically Ability to work on multiple projects at once with tight deadlines High-level of comfort in working with numbers and spreadsheets; ability to create statistical reports Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times Prefer Bilingual verbal and written communication skills in English & Spanish Preference will be given to qualified local candidates SOFTWARE/COMPUTER SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: General knowledge of basic hardware and software and uses of a variety of different computer operating systems such as Microsoft Office Work, Excel, Outlook, Google Workspace, and web-site software Proficiency in Database Software or Learning Management Tracking Systems Proficiency in building e-learning programs, preferred Proficient keyboarding and typing skills DISCLAIMER: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
