Envases Group is expanding global presence by the plan to open its first aluminum beverage can production and distribution center in Waco, Texas. The Waco operation will focus on aluminum beverage containers commonly used for soft drinks, beers, energy drinks, teas and non-carbonated beverages.

POSITION: Human Resources Coordinator



This individual must be highly organized, innovative and resourceful serving to provide support in all the functional areas of HR such as Recruiting, Selection, Hiring and Employment Processes; Compensation & Benefits; Employer-Employee Relations; Maintain Labor Law Compliance, etc. This position directly assists the HR Manager to perform all HR services for the Organization.


  • Performs employment related duties including recruiting, screening, completing new hire paperwork & conducting orientations; participates in formulating recruitment strategy for all positions; ensures that all searches are coordinated in accordance with applicable rules, state and federal employment laws; coordinates post job offer pre-employment physical examination and drug screening program development
  • Builds job descriptions for open requisitions, prepares advertisements and posts in various specialized venues to increase the number of qualified applicants
  • Coordinates participation in, sets up display, and works at job fairs and career fairs
  • Provide employee information and administrate leave of absence benefits including the Family Medical Leave Act, Military Leave, Personal Leave, Disability Leave, etc. Administration includes, verifying leave reasons, reviewing doctor's certifications, reviewing accrued time off to assure all legal aspects are being met; prepares monthly reports of active employees on leave and compares report to payroll for discrepancies
  • Administers a variety of employee health and welfare benefits programs, such as group medical and dental insurances, group life, accident and disability insurances in an insured and/or self-funded environment
  • Processes all employment benefit transactions and other changes made by employees
  • Oversees the reconciliation of health plan monthly eligibility reports to ensure compliance with the Affordable Care Act
  • Maintains human resources records (both information systems and hard copy files) and compiles reports from the databases
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all other compliance standards
  • Prepares and completes requested Verification of Employment, Verification of Insurance and Unemployment Claims forms
  • Prepares employment materials (insurance packets, new hire packets, applications, etc.), training materials, sets up the training room configuration and computer/training materials
  • Assists with other administrative tasks related to the disciplines of Human Resources as assigned or as the operational need demands for increased responsibilitiesResponsibilities of all Envases Employees:

    • Ensure the jobs/operations are completely safely to protect employees and to ensure the sustainability of company equipment/machinery
    • Ensure the security of the workforce and sustain any client confidentiality requests

    • Team centered to perform your job successfully while identifying ways to help others be successful too; willingness to learn; works at a fast pace, actively pursues tasks or direction; willing to work extended hours and adapt to changing work schedules as well as assignments; determines what work needs to be done without instruction; takes action to complete additional work that is beneficial to the team without being instructed

      • Required - Degree in Personnel Management/Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications or related field; or a minimum of 8 years of a combination of education, training and experience in the Human Resources field
      • Minimum 1 years' experience in Human Resources, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience; or Master's degree in Human Resources.
      • Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service, professional office or HR related environment
      • PHR or SPHR Certification, preferred

        • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for relaying data (verbally and in-writing) between other employees and vendors/suppliers
        • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to maintain accurate, detailed records that will be audited periodically
        • Ability to work on multiple projects at once with tight deadlines
        • High-level of comfort in working with numbers and spreadsheets; ability to create statistical reports
        • Must be a self-starter and have the desire and ability to take ownership and responsibility with little direction
        • Knowledge of:
          • Federal and State laws affecting Human Resources including the ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act
          • The principles and practices of modern human resources management and administration
          • How to apply modern business practices, procedures and technology to the personnel management functions
          • The fundamental principles of industrial psychology and work place sociology as it applies to public employment and human resources management setting
          • Ability to learn additional HR terminology processes and employment laws to be able to serve the department when operational demands may require it Interviewing candidates and employees and interpreting responses
          • Ability to foster employee career development, professional development and motivate the employment workforce
          • Ability to develop tactical and strategic plans for the human resources management programs
          • Ability to be adaptable, flexible and advance existing skill sets to be able to serve future office needs in additional capacities
          • Ability to be pragmatic in decision making; requires high integrity
          • Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times
          • Ability to take direction, coaching and act positively to improve performance
          • Prefer Bilingual verbal and written communication skills in English & Spanish
          • Preference will be given to qualified local candidates
            • General knowledge of basic hardware and software and uses of a variety of different computer operating systems such as Microsoft Office Work, Excel, Outlook, Google Workspace, and web-site software
            • Has the ability to learn new software systems and data management systems quickly
            • Proficient keyboarding and typing skills

Employee often works independently.

              HOURS / SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; present to fulfill job duties & meet operational demands/support; schedule may vary depending on plant operational needs thus flexibility is required which could include long days, occasional evening & weekends; regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position; position may require travel to meetings, conferences, workshops or other facilities
