How you’ll make an impact in this role Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned areas. - Clinical Team Leadership: Actively assign, direct, and mentor nursing and support staff during your shift to ensure high-quality patient care and professional development. - Strategic Shift Planning: Use independent judgment to assess patient needs, develop daily care assignments, and manage unit productivity to meet organizational standards. - Conflict Resolution & Advocacy: Serve as the first point of contact for patient care concerns, professionally managing and resolving complaints through established clinical channels. - Operational Resource Management: Oversee the availability of essential materials and medical supplies while prioritizing tasks based on real-time patient and physician dynamics. - Talent Development Support: Play a key role in the growth of your unit by providing vital input on the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of your nursing team. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: - BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. - Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date reqired. Education: - Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
