Description: 18 months minimum Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU
experience is required. Nurse to Patient Ratio by shift is 1:1 for
critical care, 1:2 for ICU status, and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU in
overflow unit. The unit consists of a 24-bed Pediatric cardiac ICU
and a 12-bed overflow unit. Patients typically present with
congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repair, heart
failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD. The age range of
patients includes neonatal through young adult, with occasional
adult congenital heart disease patients. BLS, ACLS, and NIH
