Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Occupational
Therapist to join our progressive healthcare team operating on a
national scale. We provide comprehensive facility-based and
home-based care, focused on delivering superior patient outcomes.
As an Occupational Therapist, you will develop and administer
therapy plans following patient assessments, adjusting to
individual needs, and driving their recovery journey. This role
demands a professional who is skilled in patient interaction and is
eager to make a significant difference in their lives. You will
have the opportunity to work in varied environments, both inpatient
and outpatient, including specialized settings for intensive
rehabilitation. Assess patient condition to formulate an effective
occupational therapy plan. Implement therapeutic processes; adjust
as necessary based on patient response and specific recovery goals.
Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to ensure
comprehensive patient support. Educate patients and families on
therapeutic techniques, home exercises, and strategies for
independence. Document patient progress and therapy outcomes for
consistent care and reporting requirements. Participate in
continuous education and professional development opportunities to
stay current with best practices. Strong understanding of
occupational therapy principles, methods, and procedures.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability
to assess patient needs and develop effective therapeutic plans.
Skill in utilizing therapeutic equipment and technology relevant to
occupational therapy. Capability to manage a caseload effectively,
prioritizing patient needs. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance 401k Current and valid state licensure as an
Occupational Therapist. Preferred: Certification from the National
Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
