Job Description:
Methodist Health System is seeking a dedicated and skilled
Breast Ultrasound Technician on a PRN (as-needed) basis to join our
team. You'll work in a compassionate and dynamic environment aimed
at providing top-tier healthcare. This role is crucial in the early
detection, diagnosis, and treatment planning of breast diseases,
primarily focusing on detecting tumors and other abnormalities.
Your expertise in ultrasound technology will contribute to our
mission of improving and saving lives across Texas. Operate
ultrasound equipment to produce and record images of the motion,
shape, and composition of blood, organs, tissues, or bodily masses
such as fluid accumulations. Perform breast sonography in
accordance with departmental protocols and industry standards.
Review and analyze the images to check for quality and adequate
coverage of the area being imaged. Prepare preliminary findings for
radiologists, highlighting key images that require further
attention. Maintain patient records and add medical notes related
to the ultrasound procedure. Ensure the cleanliness and
functionality of ultrasound equipment and the examination room.
Provide a comfortable and secure environment for patients
throughout the diagnostic process. Strong technical proficiency in
using ultrasound imaging equipment Ability to interpret sonographic
images and identify abnormalities Excellent patient management
skills to ensure comfort and safety Good communication skills for
effective interaction with the healthcare team and patients
Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate records and
reports Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Certified or eligible for certification by the
American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Specific certification in breast sonography is highly preferred
