Job Description Job Description Cardiothoracic Surgery APP Opportunity in Dallas, Texas Join a respected surgical team with a clear focus: skilled, efficient operative care in a high-volume setting. This position offers dedicated OR time, limited clinic responsibilities, and no rounding, ideal for experienced Advanced Practice Providers ready to hit the ground running. This is a full-time role in Cardiothoracic Surgery for a PA-C or NP with robust experience and a desire for long-term alignment. Practice Overview Join a high-volume team of 3 CT surgeons and 3 experienced PAs (4 total, with one departing) Focused first-assist role with 95% of time spent in the OR; clinic duties limited to one ½ day per week Surgical mix includes CABG, valve replacements, thoracic resections, aortic work, and robotic-assisted cases Endoscopic vein harvesting required; no inpatient rounding or pre-op responsibilities Schedule Monday-Friday workweek with 4.5 days in the OR and ½ day of clinic (post-ops only) Call rotation is one weekday per week and one weekend per month, with additional shift pay if called in Emergency surgeries only on weekends; PA call is secondary and typically home-based after hours Average 2-3 cases per day, with some days at a second nearby hospital Compensation & Benefits Enjoy a competitive base salary with additional earning potential 28 PTO days year one, 35 after five years; $2,500 CME stipend; full benefits and 401(k) with 6% match Candidate Requirements Certified NP or PA-C with at least 3 years of experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery Must have endoscopic vein harvesting skills; endoradial experience a plus RNFA-certified (NPs must hold this credential); no training period available for new grads Must be able to commit to 3 years; visa sponsorship not available Community & Location Highlights Live in the heart of Dallas with easy access to both major airports and suburban communities Urban amenities with affordable housing options and excellent school districts nearby Enjoy outdoor recreation, local dining, and cultural attractions within minutes No state income tax and a low cost of living compared to other major metros Let's explore together how this opportunity could shape the next chapter of your career and life.
