Hospitalist - Physician at St. David's Georgetown Medical Center - TeamHealth summary: The Hospitalist position at St. David's Georgetown Hospital involves providing inpatient care in a closed ICU setting on a traditional 7-on, 7-off day shift schedule. The role includes managing up to 22 patient encounters per shift without procedural requirements, primarily using Meditech EMR. TeamHealth has a new day shift hospitalist opening at St. David's Georgetown Hospital in Austin, Texas. This is an established program between TeamHealth and HCA staffed with internal medicine (IM) hospitalists and nocturnists that are all local to Austin. Our physicians work a traditional 7-on, 7-off schedule. St. David's Georgetown has 114 beds but only 50 beds are handled by the hospitalist program. We are currently staffing this with 3-day time providers (7a-7p) with 1 nocturnist physician (7p-7a). This is a closed ICU setting, averaging 20-22 total patient encounters per day shift clinician and a maximum of 10 admissions at night. We do not require our clinicians to perform procedures within this role. You only need to respond to codes for your patients, so you are able to assist the codes team.
