Responsibilities Ascension Seton is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Urology physician to join an incredible pediatric urology team with Dell Children's Medical Group! New fellowship graduates or experienced physicians are encouraged to apply. Position Highlights: We are a group of 6 fellowship-trained pediatric urologists who have served the Austin area for over 32 years. Access to State-of-the-Art Pediatric Endoscopy and da Vinci robotic technology. Collaborate with 4 APPs to enhance your practice and workflow. Provide education to advanced practice providers as well as students and residents Shared Call Schedule Generous PTO and CME Qualifying organization for the Public Service Student Loan Forgiveness Program Holistic benefits package including paid parental leave and adoption assistance Responsibilities: Medical and Surgical management of general pediatric urological problems. Collaborate closely with pediatric sub-specialists including maternal-fetal, nephrology and pediatric surgery to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients with complex urological disorders. Participate in the Pediatric Emergency Department and Newborn Nursery/NICU’s Call support to 3 children’s hospitals and phone support to area Central Texas hospitals. Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinates discharge planning with case management. Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients. Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital. Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested. Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner. Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.
