Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Austin, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,020 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: RN - CVICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Experience with cardiac monitoring and rhythms - Experience with titratable drips - Understanding of hemodynamics - Experience with respiratory patients: vents, Bipap, trachs, airvo - Experience with open heart surgery recovery - Experience with ECMO, Impella, balloon pumps - Experience with CRRT/SLED Description: This is a seasonal contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The contract will last for 13 weeks with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Candidates will not be required to take call. The unit typically has a total of 8 beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 to 2:1, depending on patient acuity. The staff consists of 25 professionals, including day and night shift charge nurses. Key equipment used in the unit includes GE bedside monitors, Alaris IV pumps, and ECMO circuits. The unit performs various procedures, such as central line and chest tube insertion, bronchoscopies, tracheostomies, and intubation. Candidates must be team players, have a positive attitude, and be adaptable. Dress code requirements specify navy scrubs.
