Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Experience with cardiac
monitoring and rhythms - Experience with titratable drips -
Understanding of hemodynamics - Experience with respiratory
patients: vents, BiPAP, trachs, Airvo - Experience with open heart
surgery recovery - Experience with ECMO, Impella, balloon pumps -
Experience with CRRT/SLED Description: This is a contract position
for a Registered Nurse specializing in ECMO and CVICU. The position
is for a 13-week duration, with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00
AM. This unit has 8 beds and a staff of 25 members. Patient ratios
are typically 2:1 or 1:1, depending on patient acuity. The unit is
equipped with GE bedside monitors, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis,
Centrimag ECMO circuits, Impella CP & 5.5, and various other
critical care technologies. Common procedures performed in the unit
include central line and chest tube insertion, bronchoscopies,
tracheostomies, and intubation. The ideal candidate will be a team
player with a positive attitude and adaptability. The dress code
requires navy scrubs. Candidates with CVICU charge experience will
be given preference. This position does not require call and offers
weekend shift opportunities. The unit promotes a collaborative
