About The Position We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position in Texas. This opportunity offers initial coverage for 8 days, starting June 27th, with expected ongoing shifts of 6 per month. The schedule includes 12-hour and 24-hour shifts. The facility is a Trauma Center with a hospital and emergency department. The physician will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to a diverse patient population, including geriatrics, pediatrics, and trauma cases. This role offers competitive compensation and may have potential for extension. Job Details: Location: Texas Facility Type: Multi-Specialty Clinic Start Date: 06/27/2025 LOA: Initial 8 days with expected 6 shifts per month ongoing Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Physician Schedule: 12-hour and 24-hour shifts Responsibilities and Duties: • Provide emergency medical care in a Trauma Center • Manage a diverse patient population, including geriatrics, pediatrics, and trauma cases • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Family Medicine, General Surgery, and Orthopedic Surgery physicians • Perform all necessary lifesaving procedures • Utilize Athenahealth for electronic medical records • Adapt to the facility's protocols and procedures • Maintain a high standard of patient care and safety • Work efficiently in an Emergency Department Additional Information: • Must be licensed to practice in Texas • Experience in trauma care preferred • Flexibility to work 12-hour and 24-hour shifts • Ability to integrate quickly into a new healthcare environment Apply now to learn more!
