• Examines patients and their medical records
• Orders and studies diagnostic test (blood test, X-rays, etc.)
• Diagnoses health conditions and illnesses
• Proposes treatments for wound management
• Prescribes medications
• Orders durable medical equipment to promote wound care and healing
• Maintains accurate records and schedules
• Informs patients about their health conditions and prescribed treatments
• Educates patients and their family members on wound treatment and management
• Promote food health practices
• Debrides wounds by using sharp, enzymatic, or autolytic methods in a safe manner
• Applies topical wound care and wound management products
• Recommends and refers associated services to improve wound healing outcomes
• Maintains strict patient confidentiality
• Attends required meetings to improve wound care processes
• And other duties as assigned within scope of practiceQualifications, Education, And Skill Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Nursing or Physician Assistant program
  • Graduate-level Nursing degree (MSN) or (DNP)
  • Current and unrestricted license as a nurse practitioner or physician's assistant in the state of Texas
  • Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner or PA in a clinical, hospital, ER, or other setting
  • A minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience providing wound care, preferred
  • Must be willing to travel 100% of the time
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to set priorities while managing multiple task
  • Must be ethical and moral
  • Team spirit with a positive attitude
