Nurse provides individualized, goal directed nursingcare through
the use of the nursing process and the principles of primary
nursing,in accordance with center policies and proceduresWhat
You'll Do
- Assesses patient and family needs in order to provide quality
care to assigned patients.
- Evaluates patient's response and intervenes appropriately for
optimal outcome.
- Demonstrates ability to clearly communicate instructions to
patient and family and appropriately answer questions.
- Appropriately adapts during rapidly changing pace and manages
resources as needed to maintain patient flow.
- Develops, discusses, and communicates a realistic problem list
(plan of care) for each patient, in collaboration with each
patient, family, and significant other in order to address all
identified needs.
- Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement the
medical plan of care, nursing interventions, and procedures as
necessary for the care of the patient.
- Evaluates the identified problems, care provided, and patient's
responses are reassessed in order meet patient and family needs to
ensure overall quality of care delivered.
- Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care
provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the
healthcare team, in order to ensure quality care.
- Maintains current knowledge, certification, and licensure.
Pursues professional growth and development.
- Functions as a role model for current and new staff.
- Demonstrates leadership behaviors in a professional
manner.
- Directs other licensed and non-licensed personnel in the
provision of care to patients as assigned.
- Performs selected duties as delegated by the DON or others in
authority.
- Attends all required safety training programs and can describe
his or her responsibilities related to general safety,
center/service safety, and specific job-related hazards.
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all
patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a
professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
- Performs all responsibilities/duties required by the center, as
defined in the scope of service, to ensure that the unique nature
of the client is addressed.

assigned.QualificationsRequired:Education Minimum
- Must possess a current (state) license as a Registered
Nurse.Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree
- BLS, ACLS & PALS certificatesPhysical / Mental Requirements
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general
business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures
or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business
correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively
present information and respond to questions from groups of
managers, clients, patients, physicians and the general
public.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts
such as probability and statistics. Ability to apply concepts such
as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical
situations.
- Computer Skills: Job requires specialized computer skills. Must
be adept at using MS word, communicate by e-mail and use scheduling
software. (Add computerized EMR if applicable)
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data,
establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Special Requirements: Must be able to work variable hours and
be flexible to meet the needs of the center's daily surgery
schedule.
