OncologyShift:First Shift (United States of America)Standard Weekly
Hours:40Summary:Functions in collaborative practice with
physician(s) in private office setting for medically complex
patients. Autonomously performs patient assessment, diagnosis, and
intervention according to approved protocols. Supports physician to
develop and maintain patients. Collaborates with specialties and
maintains continuity of care. Provides office coverage for
physician(s) during periods of absence. Prescribes a variety of
modalities to meet wellness and illness needs, up to and including
hospital admission/discharge and prescriptive authority. Supervises
private office clinical personnel as needed.This is an inpatient
and outpatient position for care of Hematology/Oncology patients
with a primary focus of vascular anomalies. Prior
Hematology/Oncology experience preferred.Education/Experience:
Advanced Practice Registered Nurses --- Master's Degree in Nursing
as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.--- Minimum 2 years of
pediatric nursing experience or 2 years' experience as an FNP in a
primary care setting strongly preferred Physician Assistants ---
Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies strongly
preferred--- Minimum of two years Pediatric primary/specialty or
acute care setting experience OR 2 years' experience in related
allied health field (i.e. family practice setting with heavy
component of pediatric patients) strongly
preferred.Certification/Licensure: Advanced Practice Registered
Nurses Current Texas professional registered nurse licenseCurrent
Texas professional advance practice registered nurse
licenseRecognition from the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners as
an Advanced Practice NurseCertification as Pediatric or Family
Practice Nurse PractitionerCurrent Basic Life Support (CPR)
requiredCurrent Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
preferred*Physician Assistants Current Texas professional physician
assistant licenseRecognition form the Texas State Medical Board as
a Physician Assistant.Certification as a Physician Assistant PA-C
required.Current Basic Life Support (CPR) requiredCurrent Pediatric
Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred** PALS certification is
required when assigned to Anesthesiology, Care Team, Complex Care,
