TravelNurseSource is working with N2S Healthcare Staffing Solutions, LLC to find a qualified PCU RN in Waco, Texas, 76701 About The Position Position: Registered Nurse (RN)-Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Intermediate Care (IMC) Job Type: Permanent Shift: 12-Hour Nights Overview: We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Intermediate Care (IMC) team on a permanent basis. As an RN in the PCU/IMC, you will play a critical role in providing specialised care to patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and interventions. This position offers a stable work schedule with 12-hour night shifts. Responsibilities: Monitor and assess patients' conditions, providing specialised care and interventions as needed. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualised care plans for patients in the PCU/IMC. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment. Requirements: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice. Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Intermediate Care (IMC) setting. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
