Job Description:

What You Will Do: Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.

• Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis.
• Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition. Performs advanced respiratory care modalities.
• Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
• Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.
• Respond to emergency resuscitation team code. What You Will Need: Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Respiratory Care PractitionersCertification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Respiratory CarePractitioner provisional/temporary license will be accepted until license is issued.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board forRespiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Education:
    • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degreerequired.
