Job Description:
The ISR Sector Quality Leader will effectively lead the quality
assurance team to ensure successful implementation and sustainment
of L3Harris' quality management system in support of the various
production and development programs within the ISR Sector. The
Business scope includes, but is not limited to, Greenville, Waco,
ForceX, and Aeromet with applicable direct reports. Effective
collaboration with procurement, manufacturing engineering, design
engineering and program teams is critical to the role. This
position reports to the ISR Sector VP of Operations with dotted
line responsibility to the IMS Segment Sr Director of Quality.
Essential Functions:
- Manage and develop team of Quality professionals across the ISR
Sector through staffing, training, and talent management
initiatives while serving as a role model for integrity, inclusion,
and diversity
- Maintain responsibility for succession planning, organizational
and talent development,
- Works with senior leadership and cross functionally with
Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, etc. as the main
focal for all things ISR Quality related
- Apply principles of quality science, and other qualitative &
quantitative methods to cultivate and partner in driving
performance to contract, quality, cost and schedule, customer
satisfaction and continuous quality improvement throughout the
program lifecycle
- Value added participation and collaboration in kick-off
reviews, technical and program reviews
- Lead and/or support Customer engagements (visits, events,
etc.)
- Develops, communicates and executes strategy to achieve/exceed
key strategic metric categories: COPQ, Customer Escapes,
DPPM/defect reduction, Test Yield (FPY and RTY), etc.
- Oversees Quality Corrective Action Board (CAB) and Zero Defect
Planning (ZDP) implementation to drive Quality performance and a
Zero Defect/Escape mentality
- Convenes Sector level CAB and builds/manages Sector Level ZDP
strategy
- Supports key aspects of New Product Development (NPD) phases,
including APQP (advanced product quality planning)
- Ensure FAI/PPAP incorporated into production phase for as part
of change management
- Ensure compliance to L3Harris policies and procedures and
industry, regulatory, and statutory standards including, but not
limited to AS9100, DOD, FAA, federal, state, and local regulations,
etc.
- Teaming with operations and supply chain to drive counterfeit
parts avoidance and prevention, mistake and error proofing, and
lean manufacturing initiatives
- Engaged in operating income initiatives, reducing operations
costs and increasing efficiency
- Must have the ability and willingness to travel more than 25%
of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security
Clearance.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related
experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior
related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of
prior related experience.
- 10+ Years of Experience in Quality as well as Supply Chain,
Operations, and/or Program
- 10+ years of Quality Assurance and Operational Excellence
experience.
- 10+ years leading teams both direct and indirect.
- 10+ years of experience using Quality tools and principles
(APQP, PPAP, ZDP, FMEA).
- 10+ years of experience working with Industry standards such as
ISO9001:2015, AS9100, AS9145, etc.
- 10+ years of experience working with USAF and DCMA Quality
Program Requirements (DLAM 8210).
- 10+ years of experience working with FAA Development and
Certification programs.
- 10+ years of experience analyzing data and identifing
trends.
- Must be a US Citizen.

CQE, or equivalent preferred

- Capable of influencing a wide range of audience, and having
demonstrated leadership skills to win support without direct
reporting structure
- Formulate strategic vision, define implementation plan of
action to achieve success
- Track record of building teams
- An active DoD Secret Clearance is desired.
