Description:Job Title: Manager, Software EngineerJob Code: IMS20222807-87627Job Location: Waco, TXCandidates with ACTIVE DoD security clearances will be elgibile to receive the following sign on bonus:Secret Clearance: $10,000 - $20,000TS/SCI/SAP: $20,000 - $40,000Job Description:The Software Manager leads, directs, and reviews the work of the Software Engineering organization. They will be expected to communicate within and outside own function to explain and gain cooperation on policies and practices. Make improvements to processes, systems, and solutions. Qualified candidates must be hard working, technically competent, possess pride in ownership and a good work ethic, possess good interpersonal skills and decision making/critical thinking skills, and adaptable to change. Sets the highest ethical standards for self and others. Expected to provide input into new products/processes and implement operational plans.Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in (Engineering degree preferably in Software Engineering or Computer Science) and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
• Must have U.S. Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain SECRET security clearance
• Experience with software development and scripting languages
• Knowledgeable with computer operating systems
• Experience mentoring teams to work together with functions from several departments to facilitate and execute a proposed project planPreferred Skills (beyond required):Software Engineering candidates with experience in one or more of the following is preferred:
  • High level of familiarity with software patterns and modern design methodology
  • Experience with UML or other object modeling tools
  • Experience doing software development on Windows and/or Linux based platforms
  • Familiarity with software lifecycle process
  • DoD Clearance
  • C/C++ experience
  • SE Linux
  • Experience working in an embedded system environment
  • Familiarity with developing software to meet cybersecurity related software requirements/constraints
  • Multithreaded programming experienceFamiliarity with network architectures and communication protocol
