Operates within the scope of EU Guidance on Good Manufacturing Practice and FDA cGMP 21CFR. Key Accountabilities 1. Works closely with QA and training staff to ensure center maintains compliance with SOPs, current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP), and regulatory guidelines. 2. Acts as a liaison with corporate staff to communicate center activities. 3. Reviews test results and ensures proper action is taken for abnormal and reactive results including removal from inventory, computer entry, completion of Look Back Notification/BPDR, and donor counseling. 4. Maintains compliance with EU, FDA, state, local and company-specific regulations related to employee and donor safety, unit suitability, and proper performance of day-to-day activities. 5. Ensures that plasma shipments and sample submissions are accurate and performed in accordance with shipping schedules. 6. Maintains a professional and courteous relationship with donors and work to maximize donor retention and production growth. 7. Maintains accurate inventory of supplies and goods. 8. Performs self-audits of center logs and procedures and work closely with QA and training staff to effectively resolve any issues noted. 9. Completes and monitors payroll records to ensure employee hours are used efficiently. 10. Monitors all marketing and advertising activities and works with corporate marketing department to maximize success of advertising and marketing campaigns. 11. Trains, develops, and manages all staff in accordance with HR and company policies and other established management guidelines and regulations. 12. Manages departmental employees including training, performance evaluation, career development, compensation administration and progressive discipline as needed according to company policies and procedures. 13. Ensures adequate, trained staff coverage for all operating hours. 14. Provides leadership through example and foster effective communication, improved productivity, and increased morale through coaching, training, and development of staff. 15. Responds to and resolves complex equipment alarms or donor issues. 16. Other job related responsibilities as required. The Requirements 1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences or related field preferred. 2. Minimum of five years' experience in a supervisory or management role in a regulated environment, preferably in a plasma collection center; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3. Demonstrated decision making ability, effective reinforcement, supervisory responsibility, and customer service. 4. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. 5. Certified as competent in all area positions or the ability to complete training and competency assessments within six months after acquiring the position. Physical and Mental Working Conditions 1. Frequently performs work while standing or walking. 2. Occasionally required to travel overnight. 3. Required to communicate and interact with employees and donors. 4. Required to maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center related information. 5. May be required to work flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays. 6. Frequently exposed to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear personal protective equipment.
