autonomous and intelligent platforms. We are seeking an experienced
Machinist to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be
responsible for operating a variety of manual and CNC machines to
fabricate and assemble components for our autonomous surface
vessels. The Machinist will play a critical role in the development
of our products, ensuring high precision, quality, and efficiency
in the production of key vessel components. Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation: Operate manual and CNC milling machines, lathes,
and other equipment to fabricate parts from metals, plastics, and
composites according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings,
schematics, and blueprints to accurately manufacture parts with
high tolerance. Prototyping & Production: Work closely with
engineers and the R&D team to prototype and refine new vessel
components. Transition prototypes into full-scale production.
Quality Control: Perform in-process inspections, measuring parts
using precision instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges)
to ensure compliance with tolerances and quality standards.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Maintain and troubleshoot machinery
to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Collaboration:
Work closely with engineers, designers, and other production team
members to ensure components meet performance, safety, and design
requirements. Material Handling: Safely handle and manage various
materials, including metals, composites, and plastics, ensuring
proper use, storage, and disposal. Continuous Improvement:
Participate in continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback
and suggestions on manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety
practices. Qualifications Experience: At least 3-5 years of
experience in machining, with a focus on both manual and CNC
machine operation. Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of
precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, dial indicators,
calipers, etc.) and machining equipment (mills, lathes, grinders).
Blueprint Reading: Strong ability to read and interpret technical
drawings, blueprints, and CAD files. Attention to Detail: Ability
to work with precision and high attention to detail, ensuring that
all parts meet stringent specifications. Problem-Solving: Strong
troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to
identify and resolve issues related to equipment, materials, and
processes. Safety Consciousness: Knowledge of and adherence to safe
machining practices, equipment operation protocols, and safety
standards. Collaboration: Ability to work well in a team
environment, collaborating with engineers and other machinists to
meet project deadlines and quality standards. Preferred
Qualifications Experience with materials commonly used in marine
environments, such as marine-grade metals and composites.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software. Experience in the robotics,
