Job Description Job Description Master’s degree in Special
Education, Educational Diagnostics, Psychology or a related field,
active Educational Diagnostician license, and 1 years Educational
Diagnostician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. Position Overview: This K-12
educational diagnostician role is a leave replacement contract
opportunity supporting students across Arlington, TX schools. The
position requires expertise in assessment, evaluation, and
collaboration to support special education services. The term runs
from late February through May, serving as an itinerant role
focused on student needs throughout the district. Key
Responsibilities: - Administer and interpret formal, standardized
cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments to identify student
needs - Analyze assessment data to determine eligibility for
special education under IDEA guidelines - Participate actively in
Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to assist in
developing and reviewing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) -
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to monitor
student progress and recommend instructional accommodations -
Recommend research-based, data-driven interventions tailored to
address identified learning gaps Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as an Educational Diagnostician
required - Experience working in K-12 settings with diverse student
populations - Proficient in administering standardized educational
assessments and interpreting results - Strong knowledge of IDEA
regulations and special education eligibility criteria - Effective
communication and collaboration skills to consult with educators
and families Location and Duration: - Position located in
Arlington, Texas - Contract duration for leave coverage:
Approximately February 23, 2026, to May 22, 2026 - Itinerant role
