Job Description Job Description Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, Psychology or a related field, active Educational Diagnostician license, and 1 years Educational Diagnostician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A K-12 itinerant Educational Diagnostician position is available for a leave contract from late February through May 22, located in the Garland, TX area. This role involves supporting students across grade levels while the regular staff member is on maternity leave. Key responsibilities include: - Administering and interpreting formal, standardized assessments to identify cognitive, academic, and behavioral needs - Conducting eligibility evaluations to determine qualification for special education services under IDEA regulations - Participating actively in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to help develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) - Collaborating with teachers and parents regarding student progress, behavioral interventions, and instructional accommodations - Recommending data-driven, research-based interventions to address specific learning gaps uncovered through assessments Desired qualifications: - Experience as an Educational Diagnostician in K-12 settings - Strong understanding of IDEA regulations and special education eligibility requirements - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and educators - Ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative assessment data to guide decision-making - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage itinerant responsibilities This temporary position offers an opportunity to apply diagnostic expertise in an education-focused environment while supporting students and staff during the incumbents maternity leave.
