Job Description:

Waste Management, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Fleet Maintenance 2nd Shift Supervisor to lead our skilled team in maintaining and enhancing our fleet operations at our North American facilities. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring all service and repair activities for our waste management and environmental service fleet are completed efficiently and to the highest standards during the second shift operations. By joining our team, you will play a crucial role in our commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship through the maintenance of our fleet used in collection, recycling, and renewable energy generation. Supervise and direct all second shift fleet maintenance activities ensuring all vehicles are operational and meet safety standards. Schedule maintenance and oversee the repair of vehicles and equipment. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and schedule regular updates to these records to keep them current. Monitor inventory of parts and supplies; order new stock as needed while managing budget. Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Develop training programs for maintenance staff and conduct performance evaluations. Collaborate with other department leaders to optimize operations and address any arising fleet issues swiftly. Strong leadership and organizational skills Proficiency in fleet management software In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and vehicular maintenance Ability to manage and prioritize tasks Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ASE Certification (Automotive Service Excellence) Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Preferred
