Job Description Job Description GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The EHS
Assistant will work closely with our Safety staff at all levels to
ensure a safe, compliant, and prepared organization. The EHS
Assistant will champion and ensure recordkeeping for a variety of
areas including safety training, Toolbox Talks, safety equipment
reimbursement programs, logs, investigations and reports. This

for both union and non-union employees. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND
RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure proper recordkeeping including OSHA
compliance training, Toolbox Talks, certifications and
recertifications, audit reports, near miss reports, incident logs
and reports, root causes analyses and investigation materials, job
hazard analyses (JHAs), Safety Committee meeting minutes and
materials, transcripts, and other material. Maintain and organize
the Safety Department’s files and records and Teams channels.
Assist the Safety Department with scheduling training, Safety
Summits, respiratory protection medical evaluations & FIT tests,
audiometric tests, meetings, safety/field days, and worker
celebrations. Assist with the creation of weekly, monthly,
quarterly and annual safety performance reports. Support Wells’
Personal Protective Equipment, tool, safety boot, incentive
(AwardCo), and prescription safety glasses reimbursement programs.
Collaborate with Safety team members to help execute and prioritize
EHS strategies, standard operating procedures, guidelines and
policies. Provide tactical support to implement ideas; provide
support for special projects and initiatives. Support workers’
compensation claims handling process and review. Provide
administrative support for the Safety Team as needed. EDUCATION,
SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: High school diploma required 2-3
years safety support or related administrative experience preferred
Associates degree in related field preferred Workers comp file
management experience preferred Experience using data-based
systems, i.e. learning management software, or other relational
data base OSHA experience a plus Spanish language skills highly
desirable Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Ability to communicate
effectively and work as a part of a departmental and
cross-functional team Strong interpersonal and problem-solving
skills required Ability to self-manage and self-motivate Capable of
working under pressure and deadlines Ability to maintain
confidentiality of sensitive information Excellent organizational
skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ability to
sit or stand for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity and
hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office
equipment. Visual acuity and ability to read small print. Hearing
acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others. Ability
to lift and move office supplies and equipment. Mobility and
ability to move around the office as needed. WORKING CONDITIONS:
Moderate risk of exposure to unusual elements. Moderate risk of
safety precautions. Moderate exposure to production environment.
Travel as needed Must be capable of climbing, bending, kneeling,
squatting, sitting, walking (flat and uneven surfaces). This
