Job Description:

As a Casualty Claims Examiner at GEICO, you will be pivotal in handling and resolving complex personal and commercial casualty claims. This role requires a depth of experience in claims investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement. Investigate and assess damage and liability by reviewing documents, interviewing involved parties, and consulting experts. Determine the appropriate settlement amount based on investigations and consultations. Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and other insurers. Coordinate with legal counsel on litigation cases, providing all necessary claim documentation. Maintain accurate records and reports for compliance and analysis. Stay updated on industry regulations and participate in training workshops. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and negotiation skills In-depth knowledge of claim handling procedures and regulations Proficient in insurance claims software and databases Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification in Claims Adjusting (e.g., AIC, SCLA) Completion of relevant training courses in casualty claims management
