Job Title: Plant ControllerDepartment: FinanceReports to: VP of FinanceLocation: Hubbard, TX (hybrid potential, depending on location) The Plant Controller is a business partner with the plant management. They are responsible for the financial activities at the plant and are accountable for the plant-level responsibilities.
Essential Functions Include:

• Responsible for the financial activities at the plant and accountable for the plant-level responsibilities, including supporting additional plant(s).
• Will support both plant and corporate functions.
• Supervise and motivate staff, overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• The focus will be on plant level reporting and activities, while supporting the VP of Finance with key higher level corporate needs.
• Manage the plants month-end close procedures, ensuring their completion timely and accurately.
• Perform general account analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
• 1099 filing, various government agencies filing, sales tax, property tax, exercise tax, and others.
• Assist in preparation of annual budget and periodic financial forecasting.
• Support the VP of Finance in coordinating with external accountants to complete annual financial statement audit and tax return preparation.
• Partner with VP of Finance, Controller, CFO, and business partners to ensure timely and accurate financial data is provided to support key business decisions.
• Drive process improvements.
• Other tasks assigned as needed. Qualifications Include:
  • B.S. in Business, Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong Excel skills and data analysis abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT - Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations:
    • Consistent and reliable attendance
    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
